Every month Miss Millennia Magazine will be showcasing one girl in her 20’s or 30’s to be the Lady Lennia of the month. Since this is a magazine focused on inspiring women, someone will be chosen who has the qualities to inspire others. Lady Lennia is the spokesperson for the magazine. She is the silhouetted figure leaning on the header. She has no distinctive race and is a representation that proves that any girl can be sexy, smart, and sassy. When I got promoted I re-negotiated my salary and won. Management was surprised because they said people don’t usually do that. My thoughts were, “Why Not?” I think many will say that because of the economy you should be lucky with what you get. I think that is a defeatist attitude and I believe women are less likely to ask for a raise or re-negotiate salaries because there is a belief that they need to either 1) Take one for the team 2) Keep team camaraderie by accepting less. That’s baloney! Great post and very empowering for women.

I also really love the affirmations especially if you write them down (I have them all over the house, especially surrounding my bathroom mirror). I also empower the methods of challenging yourself. A year ago, I challenged myself to build a website. I didn’t take a course or go back to college. I taught myself and now I have another income stream and individuals paying me on how to increase traffic to their websites. Challenge yourself to go in a direction by taking a step towards something you love and success will follow!
